First Reading
Ezekiel, Chapter 33, Verses 7-9
1. Does God still send prophets to address injustice in the world today? Who are they? Are they always successful? Do they live long, happy lives? Are you one of them?
2. Can you think of new ways of bringing the dynamic display of divine love into the lives of those people you love or into your work place or other places in your life?
Second Reading
Romans, Chapter 13, Verses 8-10
1. How can one commandment sum up all the others?
2. Which is easier, to love your neighbors or to cook their dinner? Is it easier to love your neighbor or write a paper on love? Explain.
Gospel
Matthew, Chapter 18, Verses 15-20
1. Do you believe God will actually grant your request in some way when you and another person agree to pray about something? What about when it seems he hasn’t?
2. Whenever two or three are gathered in Christ’s name he is present and whenever two ask for anything it will be granted. What do these two promises say to you? From these promises, how important would you say the role of community is to Christ?
