PAUL The Musical premieres FEb. 15 in Los Angeles
Wordnet Productions announces the production of PAUL The Musical a fictionally enhanced biography of the “Apostle to the Gentiles,” Saint Paul. Written by Father Michael Manning, SVD, television personality for over 30 years, with music by Alicia “Lee” Rowe (lyrics) and Sally Wolf (music), and produced by Wordnet Productions (the media ministry of the Divine Word Missionaries West), the musical is both entertaining and instructive.
Paul uniquely changed the world. Where would be the treasures of European arts and cultures, had not Paul understood the breadth of the Christian revelation he received and passed on to the world with dogged determination?
Paul---the Man and the Saint, comes alive in the play. Other characters weave their way in and out of the story of his conversion, struggle, and ultimate martyrdom, artfully adding realism and depth.
“PAUL The Musical” engages the audience to question, search, and struggle right along with Paul, humbly becoming strong in weakness. They experience Paul’s soul-searing struggle of metamorphic rebirth from Judaism to Christianity, and are challenged to join him in singing the praises of God’s all-embracing love.
